How the Grid and Tumble Mechanic Work

Sweet Bonanza drops the payline system entirely. The grid is 6 reels by 5 rows, and after every spin the game simply counts how many of each symbol are showing anywhere on those 30 positions. Eight or more matches of a single symbol type form a win, regardless of where they land — there's no need for a left-to-right run or adjacent tiles.

Once a win pays, the matched symbols vanish and the game drops new ones down from above to fill the gaps. It then checks the refreshed grid for new clusters of 8 or more, pays those, clears them, and repeats. A single spin can chain through several tumbles before the grid settles with no further wins, which is why one spin can feel like a small streak on its own.

There are two symbol tiers. Fruits — bananas, grapes, watermelons, plums and apples in most listings — sit at the low end of the paytable. Four candy shapes, ranked blue, green, purple and red heart from lowest to highest, form the premium tier, with the red heart paying the most for a full 12-plus cluster. No wild symbol exists in the base game; the scatter-pays structure makes a substituting wild largely unnecessary.

An optional Ante Bet, where a casino offers it, raises the stake by 25% in exchange for what several reviews describe as better scatter odds. The exact scatter distribution with Ante Bet active isn't published, so the effect should be treated as directional rather than quantified.

There are no nudges, respins or reel modifiers in the base game. Everything interesting happens through the tumble chains themselves and, eventually, through the free spins.
